As former athletes who still love challenging ourselves in the gym and with our favourite cardio, we never felt fully hydrated drinking other electrolytes. We learned that most electrolytes are formulated for daily hydration not for replenishing what you lose through sweat. 

Diving into the research, we found that 700 mg sodium, 200 mg potassium and 40 mg magnesium are essential for hydration, enhanced performance, rehydration and better recovery. Thus, HYIA was born—Hydrate Your Inner Athlete.
